Account Director, Brand Marketing

Reine Digital is seeking an experienced and passionate marketing professional to manage key client partnerships with a focus on brand management. In a fast-paced environment, this person will direct all social strategies, lead senior client level communications, manage a support team, and guide various brands through strategic branding discussions. This person must be highly organized, able to simultaneously manage multiple accounts and people, possess superior communication skills, both verbal and written, and be willing and able to work some non-traditional hours, weekends, and travel.  

 

This position will be based in our Charlotte, NC office and reports to the Reine Vice President. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for shaping the vision of clients’ business objectives, social goals, and brand/messaging strategy 

  • Contribute to the ideation and creative direction for all social media platforms including, but not limited to X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube 

  • Advise on impactful PR / Media decisions for maintaining an elevated digital presence for clients on social 

  • Assist in scope development and growth year over year to expand and drive new business for the agency  

  • Manage client budgets inclusive of planning for social campaigns, travel, production shoots, paid media needs, and influencer partnerships  

  • Ensure digital voice/tone for each brand stays within brand guidelines across all social media platforms 

  • Review all client projects for alignment to scope and escalate out of scope opportunities to senior leadership for review 

  • Approve out of scope production estimates and work closely with the Director of Content to build project proposals on an ad hoc basis 

  • Analyze social analytics and build client decks to report on results 

  • Build decks for campaign, yearly, or project specific recaps as well as new project proposals 

  • Review all shot lists, production day books, event logistics, budgets and strategy docs created by the account team 

  • Sell new, emerging digital and social trends and ideas to clients to push the boundary of their work 

  • Travel as needed to key events to provide on-site support for social content creation, content shoots, PR needs, etc. 

  • Direct planning for how to leverage influencer marketing opportunities to drive business partnerships for clients 

  • Manage and mentor junior staff as part of your account team and prioritize helping them develop to grow younger talent 

  • Track time management of staff to ensure output by account is in alignment with scoped hours and staff allocation 

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, dependent on the athlete/personality involved. 

  

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Media or related and appropriate majors.  

  • 7+ years experience working in a digital / social media or communications role with a brand or sponsor of a brand 

  • Must possess superior written and verbal skills, editorial judgment, and knowledge of digital culture. 

  • An understanding of the motorsports industry preferred but not required 

  • Interest in pop-culture, current trends, and a healthy curiosity of social trends is necessary 

  • Experience managing people with ability to mentor and grow a team 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and project management skills 

  • Thorough understanding (in a business capacity) of social platforms including, but not limited to X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, TikTok and YouTube 

  • Experience with Facebook Ads Manager and X Ad platform 

  • Familiarity with digital media buying process is a plus 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards  

  • Comfortable interfacing independently with senior level marketing clients  

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office required. Must have proficiency in data reporting, deck creation, and information organization. 

  • Basis proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and video/audio editing (Premiere) preferred 

  • Must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings (nights and weekends as required). 

  • Must be physically able to lift 25 pounds and stand on your feet for an extended amount of time. 

  • Experience with social media aggregation platforms and analytics tracking software
